Lyric coloratura soprano Natalie Young currently works as the Soprano Principal Vocal Artist with Heartland Sings in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She has performed in the United States and Germany, most recently singing in a production of Carmen with the Leonhardi Ensemble in Munich. In 2018 Ms. Young was chosen as a Resident Artist with Opera Naples and performed the role of Adina in L'Elisir d'Amore during her residency. She was a finalist for the American Prize - Women in Opera Professional Division in 2017 and is the two-time St. Louis Chapter Winner of the National Society of Arts and Letters Dorothy Lincoln-Smith Vocal Competition. Ms. Young has sung principal roles and performed in scenes programs with the Bel Canto Summer Voice Program in Munich, Opera in the Ozarks, Lawrence Opera Theatre, Kansas City Opera Institute, Westchester Summer Vocal Institute, and The Theater in the Park. She enjoys singing oratorio repertoire and most recently sang as soloist in Handel’s Dixit Dominus with the Palm Beach Symphony. A member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing, Ms. Young maintains an active voice studio and is passionate about helping singers develop vocally while studying classical and musical theater repertoire. She lives in Fort Wayne, Indiana with her husband, pianist Jonathan Young.
