International vocal comp prepares for semi-finalists’ arrival
From more than 150 contestants to a semi-finalist count of 18, the Heartland Sings 2024 Vocal Competition has brought together talent from across the country. Semi-finalists are due to arrive in Fort Wayne for the final steps of the competition in mid-May.
Celtic concert evokes audience participation
Celtic Landscapes was a magical, mystical, musical event. This original Heartland Sings production combined beautiful harmonies and the drones of bagpipes to transport audiences to the Emerald Isle in the stunning Forum at Electric Works.
Canto de Corazón community concert announced
The Canto de Corazón community choir on Sunday, April 28, will perform a free community concert at 4:00pm as part of the music series at Plymouth Congregational Church in downtown Fort Wayne. Food will be provided after the concert by Pikoso Burrito Co. and La Pupuseria.

International vocal comp brings talent to the Fort
A vocal competition being held in Fort Wayne has generated more than 150 registered contestants. The Heartland Sings 2024 Vocal Competition has attracted submissions from across the country, as well as from Canada and Mexico, making it an international event.
‘We Are The Dream’ commemorative concert
The collection baskets that passed through the pews of Plymouth Congregational Church about sunset Sunday gathered more than monetary donations from those attending an event commemorating Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy. Signed pledges of peace on cardstock joined the cash, providing a visual display of symbolic commitments to practice peace this year.
New Vocal Competition to Bring Future Stars to Fort Wayne
The Heartland Sings 2024 Vocal Competition will feature emerging opera singers from around the country competing for cash prizes. The competition runs from May 20th-22nd. Winners will be announced at the Heartland Sings Season Finale Concert, A Night at the Opera on May 22, 2024. The competition and concert will take place at Rhinehart Music Center on the Purdue Fort Wayne Campus.
Heartland Sings featured in WhatzUp magazine
Heartland Sings is a musical organization that’s unprecedented in a city like Fort Wayne in this day and age. They are a professional choir that performs all styles of vocal music, from classical through jazz and pop. Their concerts present between 16 and 38 singers.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT)- Plymouth Congressional Church hosted a musically-centered celebration for Hispanic Heritage month. On Sunday, October 8, Heartland Sings debuts its 27th season with Music of the Americas.
