The Peacemakers by Karl Jenkins
The Peacemakers is a work extolling peace which we need now more than ever. One line from a section of the work sums up the ethos of the piece: ‘All religions, all singing one song: Peace be with you.’
The words found in The Peacemakers are by iconic figures who have shaped history as well as those who are less known. They include Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King, Mother Teresa, Anne Frank, the Persian poet Rumi, Christ, the Qur’an, Judaism, Saint Francis of Assisi, Bahá’u’lláh, and more.
