Dear Friends of Heartland Sings,
The new year is finally here! After enjoying time with our families and indulging in delicious treats over the holidays, we are back in the studio—starting up our lessons again, rehearsing for many different performances in the spring, and preparing curriculum plans for our community outreach programs. We hope that you, too, had a relaxing time with loved ones, and we could not be more excited to show you what we have in store for 2026.
There are two more concerts in our Season of Light that will inspire audiences to embrace the light after darkness. Then, we will announce the concert lineup for our milestone 30th season, which features another engaging theme.
For this year’s summer season on the ART-V, we are celebrating the 250th anniversary of American independence with a show featuring thoughtful pieces from a diverse range of American composers. These songs will evoke a sense of hope for the future of America. This show will be performed alongside our other themed programs throughout Northeast Indiana—at least if Harvey doesn’t go missing again.
We are also preparing to welcome a new Soprano Principal Artist to our team. As an artist-driven organization, we are grateful to be able to support career musicians with dynamic performing and teaching opportunities.
And there is so much more to come. This year, we want to hear from you. What inspires you about vocal music? How has it changed your life? With our growing resources, what would you like to see us do next? Let’s hear your voice so that, together, we can make the kind of impact our community needs.
As always, you are the strength behind our effort to Change Lives Through Song.
We can’t wait to sing with you.
Gratefully yours,
The Heartland Sings Staff
